The purposes of the present research were to evaluate the effect on the weight gain and reproduction and to determine the concentrations of estrogen and progesterone in the plasma and amniotic fluid or Na and Kin the conceptus when rats were given a single dose of 50 or 100 IU of HCG on days 6, 9, 12, 15 or 18 of pregnancy.
