In this study, determination of ivermectin residue in the liver, kidney, brain, and skin tissues was analyzed by high-performance liquid chromatography in 6 Jindo dogs divided into two groups which were orally administered with ivermectin at dosage levels of 600 ㎍/kg and 2,500 ㎍/kg of body weight, respectively. In the group receiving 600 ㎍/kg dosage, ivermectin residues of the liver and skin were 1.0 ppb and 1.1 ppb after the 1st day of adminstration. The residue of tissue was detected from the liver after the 3rd day of administration. In the group receiving 2,500 ㎍/kg dosage, samples of the liver, kidney and skin contained ivermectin residue of 1~5 ppb. The drug, however, was not detected from the tissues including the liver, kidney, brain, and skin after the 7th day of oral administration.
