증강현실 기반 과학과 STEAM 프로그램의 적용이 특수교사의 과학과 수업에 미치는 영향

A Study on the Effect of Augment Reality Based Science Education STEAM Program on Teacher s Science Class

본 연구는 증강현실 기반 과학과 STEAM 프로그램의 적용이 특수교사의 과학과 수업에 미치는 영향과 지원 요구를 알아보는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 2014년 10월 20일부터 12월 29일까지 고등학교 특수학급에 재학 중인 지적장애 학생 18명을 대상 으로 본 연구 프로그램을 직접 실시한 특수교사 4명을 대상으로 연구를 실시하였다. 자료 분석을 위해 전화 및 개별 면담 자료, 수업 일지 및 참여 학생의 학습 결과물을 수집하였다. 수집된 자료는 지속적 비교분석법을 통해 분석되었으며, 연구 결과의 신뢰성 확보를 위해 삼각검증, 동료 및 연구 참여자 검증을 실시하였다. 수집된 자료분석 결과, 13개의 하위 주제가 도출되었고 이로부터 4개의 중주제와 1개의 대주제가 도출되었다. 본 연구를 통해 학생 학습 활동의 긍정적인 변화가 교사의 교수 활동에 긍정적인 영향을 미치고, 교사 교수 활동의 긍정적 변화가 특수학급 교육과정 운영의 재구조화로 이어지는 선순환적인 구조를 확인하였다. 또한, 융합인재교육과 스마트교육을 연계한 프로그램의 현장 적용 확대를 위한 지원 및 요구사항을 도출하였다. 본 연구는 융합인재교육과 스마트교육을 연계한 프로그램 적용의 긍정적인 효과를 밝힘으로써, 향후 특수교육 분야에 융합인재교육과 스마트교육 또는 이를 연계한 프로그램의 적용 근거를 제공한다는 측면에서 의의가 있다.

The purpose of this study was to explore the effects of an Augment Reality-Based Science Education STEAM Program on science class management and support needs for Smart and STEAM education by the teacher s experienced in the process of applying the program. Augment Reality-Based Science Education STEAM Program was mainly focused on the theme ‘Weather and Life’. For this study, focus group and individual interviews were conducted with 4 teachers who taught special classes in a high school. All collected materials were analyzed using a constant comparative methode and triangulation. In an interview with the researcher, teachers responded that they saw the need to teach science in the form of an integrated curriculum. They also responded that they developed an open-minded and reflective attitude toward the use of various teaching tools and methods due to the novelty effects caused by the smart devices and augment reality-based contents. They further mentioned the need to build infrastructures for wider distribution of SMART and STEAM education along with the need to reconceptualize the meaning of those two types of education in the light of special education.
