2015개정 국정 『고등학교 한국사』 교과서의 고려시대사 내용 분석

Content Analysis on Goryeo Era in 2015 Government-designated High School Korean History Textbook

본 논문에서는 박근혜정부의 국정 『고등학교 한국사』 교과서의 고려시대사 서술 내용을 중심으로 박근혜정부 역사교과서 국정화의 문제점들을 살펴보았다. 박근혜정부 국정 『고등학교 한국사』 교과서의 고려시대사 내용은 정치사의 영역에 치우쳐 있으며, 국정 『중학교 역사』의 고려시대사 내용과 비슷하게 구성되어 있다. 따라서 박근혜정부의 국정 교과서가 정식 교과서로 채택되었다면, 학생들은 중학교와 고등학교에서 동일한 내용을 반복하여 학습해야 하는 상황에 처할 수밖에 없었다. 이는 박근혜정부의 역사교과서 국정화가 충분한 준비와 진지한 고민 없이 졸속으로 강행되었음을 증명하는 것이다. 또한 국정 『고등학교 한국사』의 고려시대사 서술에서는 과거의 학설에 기초한 국왕과 지배층 중심의 역사 인식, 권위주의적 통치자에 대한 미화, 국가주의와 전체주의의 옹호, 박근혜정부의 민생 안정 정책 홍보 등의 특성을 찾을 수 있다. 따라서 박근혜정부 국정 『고등학교 한국사』 교과서의 고려시대사 내용은 민주주의 교육에 부적합한 역사 인식의 토대 위에 집필되었다고 판단된다. 앞으로 역사학계와 역사교육학계는 민주주의 시대에 부합하는 역사교과서 서술에 대하여 진지하게 고민해야 한다. 특히 왕조 체제와 신분 제도가 공고히 유지되었던 고려시대사 등 전근대시기의 서술을 어떻게 할 것인지에 대하여 꾸준한 연구와 성찰을 행하여야 할 것이다.

This paper reviews the standardize problems of 2015 Government-designated high school Korean history textbook under Park Geun-Hye administration focused on the narrative contents of Goryeo era. The content is biased toward the political history, and is similar to the contents of Goryeo part of the middle school. So if Park administration’s history textbook had been introduced as a formal one, students had to repeat the same contents in middle and high school period. This can be proved that the Park administration handled the process of history textbook standardization with more haste than any sufficient preparation or a serious endeavor. Also, we can find the historical perception based on old doctrines of the king and the ruling class, beautification of authoritarian rulers, advocacy of nationalism and totalitarianism or promotion of public welfare policy under Park administration on Goryeo era in 2015 Government-designated high school Korean history textbook under Park Geun-Hye administration. It means that the content of Goryeo era in 2015 Government-designated high school Korean history textbook under Park administration is seemed to have been written on the basis of non-democratic national history educational views. Therefore, future history and history education academia need to think deeply about making of national history textbooks in accordance with democracy. It is necessary to carry out steady research and reflection on how to describe the pre-modern era, focusing on the Goryeo Dynasty where the stable dynastic and status system built on.
