Difference of Number Memory Ability in Order and Reverse According to Gender in Adults

순방향 숫자기억력과 역방향 숫자기억력의 차이를 알아보는 것이다. 방법: 본 연구는 2015년 8월부터 동년 10월까지 건강한 20대 성인 대학생 남녀50명을 대상으로 한국판 청소년-성인용 웩슬러 지능검사(Korean-Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale; K-WAIS) 중 숫자 외우기 항목(순방향 읽기, 역방향 읽기) 을 사용하였다. 대상자와 평가자는 마주보고 자리를 위치한 후 5개의 알파벳 카드 중 무작위 1개의 카드를 선택한뒤 그알파벳에 따라 재생되는 음성파일을 듣고, 구두로 대답하게 하였다. 진행순서는 순방향 읽기와 역방향 읽기로 각각 1단계부터 7단계까지 순서대로 진행하였으며, 순방향 읽기와 역방향 읽기의 최종단계와 정답률을 기록하였다. 결과: 본 연구 결과에서는 20대 성인을 대상으로 순방향 숫자기억력과 역방향 숫자기억력의 차이를 비교해 보았을 때, 유의한 차이를 알수 있었다. 또한, 순방향 기억력이 역방향 기억력 보다 높음을 알수 있었다. 결론: 선행 연구의 결과와 다르게 역방량 숫자외우기보다 순방향 숫자외우기에서 더 높은 수준의 차이를 보였다.

This study was conducted to examine the difference number memory ability in order and reverse according to gender in adults. Methods: This research was based on 50 university students (men and women)in 20s from 2015 August to October of the same month. Memorizing Number Item (Reading in order and reverse) from Korean-Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale (K-WAlS) was used on the targets. The target and evaluator sat face to face, selected 1 card randomly from the 5 alphabet cards, listened to the voice fIle played according to the alphabet, and then answered verbally. The order of process was from reading in order and reverse from stage 1 to stage 7. The final stage of reading in order and reverse and the answer rate were recorded. Results : In the result of this research, when comparing the difference of memorization of numbers in order and reverse based on the adults in 20s, significant difference was identified. Also, it was identified that memorization in order was higher than reversed memory. Conclusion : Different from advanced studies, memorization in order showed higher level than reversed memorization.
