인성 함양을 위한 시 감상 교육 방법

A method of education on the appreciation of poetry for the cultivation of characters

본고에서는 현대사회가 초래한 문명의 폐해와 그로 인한 인간소외의 현실을 극복 하고 고도의 품성을 함양함으로써 인격적 이상을 실현하기 위해 인성교육의 중요성을 강조하였다. 이를 위해 도덕적 경구를 일방적으로 제시하는 차원에서 벗어나 학생 주도적으로 도덕적 가치에 대해 숙고하고 스스로 필요하다고 판단되는 가치인식을 길러가기 위한 인성교육에 주목하였다. 이를 위해 ‘도덕적 가치 목록 작성’을 통해 학생의 관점에서 바람직한 가치 목표를 설정하고 이에 부합하는 시 작품을 선정해 문학 속에서 인성적 가치를 발견하고 이를 체득해 나가는 자발성에 초점을 두고자 하였다. 인성 함양을 위해 필요하다고 판단되는 다양한 도덕적 덕목 중에 학생의 인지적 판단력에 의해 그 의의와 실효성을 따져보고, 그에 대해 실질적인 차원에서 공감함으로써 인지적 정의적 차원에서 인성교육에 접근해 보고자 하였다. 아울러 개인적 차원에서의 가치발견이 유의미한 가치로 확장되기 위해서는 사회적 합의와 소통이 전제가 되어야하기에 관계성과 실천성에 관한 사항도 교육의 핵심요소로 설정 하고 이를 구체적인 작품을 통해 구현해 나갈 수 있는 실질적인 감상 방법도 마련해 보았다.

In this paper, the importance of personality education was emphasized in order to overcome the harmful consequences of civilization brought about by modern society and the resultant reality of human alienation and cultivate high grade characters thereby realizing the ideal of personality. To that end, this paper got out of the level of unilaterally presenting moral epigrams and took note of the personality education that will enable students to initiatively consider moral values and cultivate value awareness that they judge necessary by themselves. To this end, value goals desirable from the viewpoint of students were set through the preparation of a list of moral values and poetry works that conform to the value goals were selected with a view to focusing on the spontaneity to find personality related values from literature and learn the values. The significance and effectiveness of diverse moral virtues judged necessary for cultivation of personality were examined based on students cognitive judgment in order to approach personality education at the cognitive and affective level through sympathy with the results at the practical level, In addition, since the expansion of value discovery at the personal level into meaningful values should be premised on social consensus and communication, matters regarding relatedness and practicality were also set as core elements of education and a practical appreciation method that can implement the foregoing through concrete works was also prepared.
