The Effect of Development Awareness program of KOICA in universities on Global Citizenship

연구목적: 본 연구는 대학교 국제개발협력 이해증진사업이 대학생의 세계시민의식에 미치는 효과를 분석하여 대학교 국제개발협력 이해증진사업이 가지는 의의를 규명하고, 사업의 활성화를 위한 제언을 도출하는 데 있다. 연구의 중요성: 본 연구는 한국국제협력단(Korea International Cooperation Agency, KOICA)에서 주관하는 대학교 국제개발협력 이해증진사업이 대학생의 세계시민의식에 미치는 긍정적 효과를 규명하였다는 점과 특히 세계시민의식 중 하위영역 별 사업의 효과를 규명하여 국제개발협력 이해증진사업의 방향을 제시하였다는 점에서 중요한 의의가 있다. 연구방법론: 본 연구는 W군 소재 H대학교에서 2017년 대학교 국제개발협력 이해증진사업에 참여한 23명의 수강생을 대상으로 실시한 단일군 전후 설계로, 대응표본 t-검증을 실시하여 효과를 분석하였다. 연구결과: 본 연구결과 대학교 국제개발협력 이해증진사업은 세계시민의식의 전반적인 향상에 유의미한 효과가 있었다. 하위영역별로 살펴보면, 스킬, 실천의지, 지식 순으로 유의미한 향상 효과가 있었으며, 태도 향상에는 유의미한 효과가 나타나지 않았다. 결론 및 시사점: 추후 태도 변화에 대한 효과를 확인하기 위한 후속연구가 이루어질 필요가 있음을 제언하고, 대학교 국제개발협력 이해증진사업이 다양한 계열의 대학생들에게 더욱 활성화 시킬 것을 제언한다.

Perpose: The purpose of this study is to analyze the effects on the Global Citizenship of university students, to clarify the significance of revitalization of the development awareness program of KOICA in universities, and to draw up proposal for activating the undertaking. Originality: This study has critical meaning in terms of investigating the effect of attitude change of university students, and particularly suggesting the direction of “development awareness program of KOICA” with clarifying the effect of sub-domain undertaking among global citizenship. Methods: This research was to examine the effect of conducting the response sample t-test by 23 students at H-university in W-gun who participated in the development awareness program of KOICA in 2017. Results: Resulting from this research, that the “development awarness program of KOICA” in universities have shown the significant effect on the overall improvement of global citizenship. In terms of sub-domain, there was a significant improvement according to skill, willingness to practice, and knowledge, but no significant effect on attitude improvement. Conclusions and Implication: Suggesting that following studies should be conducted to confirm the in future, and suggesting that the undertaking will be more active for university students in various departments.
