사회기술 훈련 프로그램에 참여한 아스퍼거 증후군 아동과 부모의 변화와 성장

Changes and Growth of Asperger Syndrome Children and Parents Participating in Social Skills Training Program

이 연구는 아스퍼거 증후군 아동의 사회기술 향상을 위한 프로그램을 개발하고 실행한 후 그 효과를 검증하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 연구 대상은 20쌍의 4~6학년 아스퍼거 증후군으로 진단받은 초등학생과 부모들이다. 프로그램은 총 15회기로 아동 프로그램은 90분, 부모교육은 40분 진행되었다. 프로그램의 내용은 아스퍼거 증후군 아동에게 가장 필요한 것으로 조사된 사회적 기술로 구성되었으며 ‘목표 확인-개념 정리-사회기술 설명-시범 보이기-역할놀이-과제부여’의 절차로 진행되었다. 부모교육은 ‘과제 점검-아스퍼거 증후군 특성 및 사회적 기술 설명-과제부여’의 절차로 진행되었다. 프로그램의 효과를 검증 하기 위하여 부모 집단 면담을 통해 자료를 수집․분석하였다. 그 결과, 아동의 경우 사회 기술 향상과 또래관계 개선이라는 2가지 주제 영역과 6가지 하위 주제들이 추출되었다. 아동은 경청과 소통, 관찰과 대화, 다른 사람 의견 수용, 기다리며 배려하기, 긴장 풀고 학교 생활하기, 새 친구 사귀기 등의 성장과 변화가 일어났다. 부모의 경우 자녀에 대한 이해와 부모 역할 이해라는 주제 영역과 4가지의 하위 주제들로 분석되었다. 하위 주제들은 자녀 바로알고 먼저 변화되기, 잔소리 대신 설명하기, 새로운 불안과 도전하기, 사회적 지지자 되어주기이다. 본 연구의 결과를 바탕으로 추후 이들을 위한 사회기술 훈련 프로그램의 방향과 부모교육의 필요성에 대해 논의하였다.

The purpose of this study was to develop and implement a program for social skill training of children with Asperger syndrome and to verify effectiveness of the program. Twenty pairs of Asperger syndrome elementary school students and their parents were enrolled in the study. The program consisted of 15 sessions, 90 minutes for children s programs and 40 minutes for parents. The program consisted of social skills surveyed as the most necessary for children with Asperger Syndrome and proceeded with the procedure of ‘goal identification-conceptualization-explanationdemonstration-role play-task assignment’. Parent education was conducted through the process of ‘Checking Tasks-Explaining AS Characteristics and Social Skills-Assigning Tasks’. In order to verify the effectiveness of the program, data were collected and analyzed through parent group interviews. As a result, two subject areas and 6 sub-themes were extracted in the case of children: social skills improvement and peer relationship improvement. In the case of parents, it was analyzed as the subject area of understanding children and understanding of parent role and 4 sub-topics.
