국내 표준산업 대분류 내에서의 재난안전산업 비중 분석

Weight Analysis of the Disaster-Safety Industry in the Sections of the Korean Standard Industrial Classification

국내 재난안전산업은 기초연구가 많이 진행되지 않았을 뿐만 아니라 국내 전체산업과 비교한 연구는 없었다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 재난안전산업의 세부적인 규모분석을 위하여 재난안전산업을 한국표준산업분류에 맞추어 재난안전산업의 연관 세부분야를 분류하였다. 분류된 세부분야를 토대로 국내 표준산업 대분류에서 차지하는 재난안전산업의 비중을 산출하였고, 재난안전산업 규모의 상대적 비교를 위하여 유사산업인 소방산업과 환경산업의 규모와 대비하여 그 중요도를 비교·분석하였다. 분석결과를 토대로 재난안전산업 육성계획 수립 시 고려해야할 사항을 도출하였다.

Research on the disaster-safety industry is in its initial stage in Korea; specifically, comparative studies of the disaster-safety industry to the overall industry size in Korea are very limited. This study classifies the divisions of the disaster-safety industry in accordance with the sections of the Korean Standard Industrial Classification (KSIC), and thus, the size of those divisions can be identified and analyzed. Then, the weight of the disaster-safety industry relative to the overall Korean industry is estimated using the KSIC. Both the fire-protection industry and the environment industry are reviewed to evaluate the relative importance of the disaster-safety industry. Further, this study introduces the implications of these findings for policy makers.
