예비유아교사의 소명감, 그릿 및 전공만족도가 삶의 만족도에 미치는 영향

The Effect of a Sense of Calling, Grit, and Major Satisfaction on Life Satisfaction of Early Childhood Pre-service Teachers

본 연구는 예비유아교사의 개인적 특성인 소명감, 그릿, 전공만족도가 삶의 만족도에 미치는 영향에 대하여 분석하였다. 본 연구의 참여자는 4년제 유아교육과에 재학 중인 예비유아교사 220명이었고, 2018년 3월 중 2주 동안 설문을 실시하였다. 연구결과를 살펴보면 첫째, 각 변인들의 하위변인들마다 차이는 있었으나, 전체적으로 예비 유아교사의 소명감, 그릿, 전공만족도, 삶의 만족도는 유의미한 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 예비유아교사의 소명감, 그릿, 전공만족도가 삶의 만족도에 미치는 영향을 각각 분석한 결과, 모두 유의미한 영향력을 가지는 것으로 나타났다. 마지막으로 소명감, 그릿, 전공만족도를 모두 투입하여 삶의 만족도에 미치는 영향력을 분석한 결과, 소명감, 그릿, 전공만족도 모두, 삶의 만족도에 대한 영향력은 유의미하게 나타났으며, 그 영향력의 크기는 소명감, 그릿, 전공만족도 순으로 나타났다. 이는 예비유아교사의 삶의 만족도를 증진시키기 위해서는 그들의 소명감, 그릿, 전공만족 도를 향상시켜야 하며, 그에 대한 구체적인 방안이 필요함을 시사한다.

The purpose of this research was to investigate the effects of a sense of calling, grit, and major satisfaction on life satisfaction of early childhood pre-service teachers. The subject of this study was 220 pre-service teachers in the department of early childhood education at 4-year colleges. The result indicated that all the four variables – a sense of calling, grit, major satisfaction, and life satisfaction – are positively correlated. In other words, the higher the levels of a sense of calling, grit, and major satisfaction that the early childhood pre-service teachers have, the higher is the degree of life satisfaction the they experience. Second, a sense of calling, grit, and major satisfaction have a significant impact on their life satisfaction respectively. Third, the result of analyzing the effect of a sense of calling, grit, and major satisfaction simultaneously indicated that the all three independent variables have a significant impact on their life satisfaction. This study suggests that to improve life satisfaction of early childhood pre-service teacher an emphasis should be laid on inculcating a sense of calling and improving grit and major satisfaction.
