가족탄력성 척도 타당화 연구

A Validation Study of the Family Resilience Scale for Families with Children with Disabilities

최근 30여 년 동안 가족탄력성에 대한 관심이 높아졌으며 이에 대한 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 그러나 국내 연구에서는 가족탄력성 측정 도구의 타당화 과정을 거치지 않고 선행연구에서 사용된 도구를 문제제기 없이 반복적으로 사용하고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 Walsh의 이론에 근거하여 미국에서 타당화 검증을 받은 Sixbey의 가족탄력성 사정척도(FRAS)를 한국에서 사용할 수 있도록 수정하고 검증하는 데에 그 목적을 둔다. 우선 한국 실정에 맞는 번역과 내용타당도 및 안면타당도 검증을 거쳐 설문문항을 선정하였다. 장애자녀를 둔 부모를 대상으로 설문조사를 했으며 최종 270 부가 분석에 사용되었다. SPSS 22.0과 AMOS 21을 통해 문항분석, 확인적 요인분석, 공인타당도 검증, 신뢰도 검증을 실시하였다. 연구결과 최종 38문항 5요인 척도가 타당한 것으로 확인되었다. 5개 요인은 각각 가족의사소통/협력적 문제해결, 사회·경제적 자원의 활용, 긍정적 시각, 역경에 대 한 의미부여, 가족영성으로 명명하였다. 또한 이 척도는 가족탄력성과 유사한 기능을 가진 가족사정 척도(FAD)와의 공인타당도 검증에서도 높은 상관이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 가족탄력성 척도에 대한 국내 타당화 검증을 시도한 데 의의가 있다. 후속연구를 통해 가족탄력성 척도가 좀 더 정교해질 것으로 기대한다.

Interest in family resilience has increased during the last 30 years and research is actively being done. However, domestic researchers continue to use tools used in previous studies without making the validity for measuring family resilience. Based on Walsh s theory, this study aims to modify and verify Sixbey s Family Resilience Assessment Scale (FRAS) that has been validated in the United States for use in Korea. First, the survey questions were selected after being verified for translation, its content validity, and face validity. A survey was conducted on parents of children with disabilities and 270 samples were used for the final analysis. Question analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, concurrent validity verification, and reliability verification were conducted through SPSS 22.0 and AMOS 21. The study found that the final model of the five factors with 38 questions is reasonable. Each of the five factors was designated as family communicative/cooperative problem solving, utilization of social and economic resources, positive outlook, meaning of adversity, and family spirituality. The Family Assessment Device (FAD), chosen for validation purposes and which has functions similar to family resilience, has also been proven highly relevant. This study is meaningful in attempting to verify the domestic validity of family resilience measures in Korea. It is expected that family resilience measures will become more refined through follow-up studies.
