이해인 시의 영성 연구

Study on Spirituality of Lee, Hae-in s poetry

이 논문은 이해인의 시에 나타나는 영성을 성서적 인물을 중심으로 살핀 것이다. 작가가 수도자라는 객관적 정보는 많은 선입견을 가지게 한다. 그것은 이해인의 시가 종교적 혹은 신앙적 관점의 고백일 것이라고 판단하는 것이다. 문제는 이러한 선입견에 대한 비판적 검토가 시도되지 않았다는 점이다. 이해인과 수도자, 그리고 텍스트의 연관성을 수긍하고 텍스트의 생성 배경이 신학적, 종교적, 신앙적 태도에 있음을 전제한다면 독자는 텍스트를 지배하는 영성의 실체가 무엇인가 하는 기본적인 의문을 가질 수밖에 없다. 본고는 텍스트에 등장하는 세례자 요한, 마리아 막달레나, 성모마리아, 예수 그리스도 등 성서적 인물을 통해 이해인의 영성을 살펴보았다. 그 결과 이해인의 영성이 ‘사도적 영성’임을 확인하였다. 사도적 영성은 예수님을 따르는 제자로서의 적극적인 삶을 의미한다. 가톨릭교회의 모든 신앙인들은 이 사도직에 참여함으로써 예수의 구원 사업에 동참하는 자가 된다. 세례자 요한의 영성은 겸손의 영성이다. 마리아 막달레나의 영성은 예수가 죽음을 이기고 부활하였다는 사실을 선포하는 것과 예수의 부활을 통해 인간이 죽음에서 삶으로 전화(轉化)하였음을 증명하는 것이다. 성모마리아의 영성은 순명이다. 이해인의 텍스트가 지향하는 영성의 정점에는 절대자 예수가 있다. 예수는 구세주로서 인간 삶의 방향이며, 목적일 뿐만 아니라 삶 그 자체이다. 그러므로 이해인이 예수를 통해 지향하는 가톨릭 영성의 실체는 ‘예수 그리스도로 살아가는 것’, 즉 ‘예수가 되는 것’이라 보아도 무방하다.

This paper is a study of the spirituality that appears in Lee Hae-in s poem, focusing on biblical figures. Objective information that a writer is a nun is highly biased. It considers that the Lee Hae-in’s poem may be a confession from a religious point of view. The problem is that there has been no attempt to review these prejudices. If readers accept the link between the Lee Hae-in, nun and the text and assume that the background of the creation of the text lies in a theology, religious and religious attitude, the reader can not help wondering what the reality of spirituality governing the text is. This paper examined the spirituality of Lee Hae-in through biblical figures such as the John the Baptist, the Mary Magdalene, the Virgin Mary and Jesus Christ. As a result, Lee Hae-in s spirituality was confirmed as “apostolic spirituality.” Apostolic spirituality means the active life as a disciple who follows Jesus. All the believers of the Catholic Church become one who joins in Jesus salvation by joining this apostolate. The spirituality of the John the Baptist is the spirituality of humility. The spirituality of Mary Magdalene is the declaration that Jesus had beaten death and had risen again, and the demonstration that humans were converted in death to life through the resurrection of Jesus. The spirituality of the Virgin Mary is to obey the order. There is the absolute, Jesus at the pinnacle of the spirituality that Lee Hae-in s text aims. Jesus, as a savior, is the direction of human life, not only the purpose but the life itself. Therefore, it is safe to say that the truth of the Catholic spirituality which Lee Hae-in aims through Jesus is “to live as Jesus Christ in other words, “to become Jesus.
