This study was designed to evaluate the correlation between management of stress and the oral health of Korean adolescents undergoing the transitional period of physical and mental development. The data of 583 adolescents aged from 12 to 18 years old was used from The Sixth Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey, which was conducted in 2015. This complex sample survey data analysis was performed using SPSS statistics (version 20.0, SPSS INC. Chicago, IL, USA). The chi-square test and logistic regression analysis were also performed to observe the correlation between stress and oral health in Korean adolescents. We found that the lower the level of education, the higher the rate of stress. The rate of stressed out adolescents was higher when they experienced depression for 2 consecutive weeks. Those adolescents with drinking experience were more stressed out than those without drinking experience. A history of permanent tooth caries also increased stress level, and the study showed that adolescents with more than one caries expe-rience were most stressed out. with regard to tooth pain during the last year, adolescents with tooth pain were more stressed out. Adolescents with a damaged tooth showed high stress levels. The oral hygiene of adolescents with high stress levels were poorer than adolescents with low stress levels.
