한국 인삼의 대중화권 수출경쟁력 분석에 관한 연구

Export Competitiveness of the Korean Ginseng in Great China Region

The goal of this study is to analyze the current situation of the export competitiveness of Korean Ginseng and to suggest the export promotion measures for Korean Ginseng in Great China Region. To achieve the above objective, this study used a statistical review of Ginseng data from K-stat of Korea International Trade Association and Trade Map of International Trade Centre. Using of MSI, TSI, RCA index, and EBI, they analyzed export competitiveness of Ginseng to Great China Region from 2014 to 2017. Recently, the export market share of Korean Ginseng in Great China Region is decreasing steadily owing to low price Chinese Ginseng and effective marketing strategy on North American Ginseng. Export competitiveness of Korean Ginseng in Great China Region demonstrated by TSI >0, MCA>1 and EBI>1. TSI, RCA and ESI of Korean Ginseng have competitive advantages. Based on the results, this study suggested the export competitiveness reinforcement measures of Korean Ginseng in Great China Region. Exporting company efforts to carry product diversification to avoid the problems of over-concentration on red ginseng, and to develop products that according to characteristics of local markets but could differentiate from the others. Also, Branding needs to done by establishing the Korean Ginseng identity.
