‘사회주의 개조’의 관점에서 고찰한 20세기 중국 지식인의 정신 역정

The Spiritual Road of the Chinese Intellectuals in the 20th Century, Examined in Perspective of ‘Socialist Reconstruction’

2017년 출간된 ‘20세기 중국지식인 정신사 삼부작’은 첸리췬의 오랜 염원이 결실을 맺은 것이다. 그 가운데 상권인 ≪1948: 천지현황(天地玄黃)≫은 1996년 처음 출간되었고, 하권인 ≪1977-2005: 절지수망(絶地守望)≫은 2007년 ≪나의 정신 자전(我的精神自傳)≫이라는 표제로 출간되었으며, 중권에 해당하는 ≪1947-1976: 세월창상(歲月滄桑)≫은 이번에 처음 출간되었다. 비록 ‘삼부작’ 전체가 새로운 내용은 아니지만 오랜 시간 구상하고 집필했던 내용을 집대성했다는 점에서 그 의미가 크다. 첫 번째 책이 출간된 년도로 부터 쳐도 20년이 넘어서야 삼부작이 완성되었으니, 그 규모(3책 1874쪽)의 방대함은 차치하더라도 20년이 넘는 시간 동안 ‘20세기 중국 지식인의 정신사’라는 주제를 집중 탐구해온 그 집념이야말로 우리 학인들이 본받아야 할 치학(治學) 자세라 할 수 있겠다.

The ‘Trilogy of Chinese intellectuals in the 20th Century’ which was published in 2017 was the fruit of QIAN Liqun’s long-awaited result . Among them, the firsht volume «1948: 天地玄黄» was first published in 1996, and the third volume «1977-2005: 絶地守望» was published in 2007.The second volume «1947-1976: 歲月滄桑» was first published this time. Although the whole ‘trilogy’ is not a new one, it is meaningful because it is a compilation of the contents that QIAN have conceived for a long time. It was more than 20 years after the publication of the first book that the trilogy was completed, despite the magnificence of its scale(3volumes, 1874pages). We should follow his scholaric attitude.
