China’s 13th Five-year Plan and Countermeasures about Chinese Manufacturing 2025 for Korean Companies

The Chinese Government’s 13th five-year plan and “Chinese Manufacturing 2025” were developed to enhance the industrial structure by moving from quantitative growth to qualitative growth in order to become a manufacturing powerhouse through innovation to maximize efficiency and scale of manufacturing. Korean companies need to provide enhanced colla-boration with qualified platforms, including e-commerce, which is required to expand the new consumption base and work to expand product penetration in the market. Also, there is a need to encourage and prepare measures to strengthen cooperation, such as human exchanges, as international trade expands. The importance of maintaining the technological gap with the establishment of Korea’s industrial development and corporate support policies will become more significant in order for Korea to grow as a whole. We need to work on the diversi-fication of investment, trading lines, and new business models that are suitable for market to increase the competitiveness of Korean companies.
