통신사 행렬 도감, <參韓帖>에 대하여

A Study on &#61440;Sankancho&#61440;(參韓帖)

일본국립국회도서관에 소장된 &#61440;參韓帖&#61440;은 통신사가 지닌 기물을 하나하나 그림으로 그리고 크기와 명칭, 쓰임새 등을 상세히 설명하고 있다는 점에서 여타 행렬도 와는 다른 독특한 문헌이다. 통신사 도감이라고도 할 수 있는 &#61440;삼한첩&#61440;은 정밀한 그림에 다양한 색으로 채색되어 있어 지금까지 알려진 어떤 통신사 관련 그림첩에 비해 완성도가 높다고 할 수 있다. 기물의 재료와 치수, 사용처에 대한 기술, 전대 사행과의 비교 분석, 일본 및 중국 기물과의 비교 고증은 여타 통신사 자료에서는 찾아볼 수 없는 엄밀성과 독자성을 지니고 있다. 또 한반도의 역사를 일본과의 관계 속에서 조감하는 문헌자료도 함께 수록하였다. 그러나 그 내용은 고대 일본이 한반도를 지배했다는 허구적 역사에 기반하고 있으며, 이를 바탕으로 통신사가 조공사절이라는 왜곡된 타자상을 만들어내었다. &#61440;삼한첩&#61440;은 근세 일본 사회의 통신 사에 대한 열광적인 관심과 더불어 존재했던 왜곡된 역사 인식을 동시에 보여주는 자료라 할 수 있다.

The &#61440;Sankancho&#61440; which collected in the National Assembly Library of Japan is a picture of Chosun emissarie’s material and a detailed description of its size, name and usage. The picture of &#61440;Sankancho&#61440; is precise and colorful, and is more complete than any other communication related picture book known so far. In addition, the comparison between Japan and China has a strictness and uniqueness that can not be found in other Chosun embassarie’s literature. &#61440; Sankancho&#61440; contains documentary records of historical relations between the Korean Peninsula and Japan. However, the contents are based on the fictional history that ancient Japan dominated the Korean Peninsula. And based on this, &#61440;Snkancho&#61440; created a distorted awareness that Chosun emissaries are tribute missions. &#61440;Sankancho&#61440; is showing both the enthusiastic interest of the Chosun emissaries in the modern Japanese society and the distorted historical awareness at the same time.
