지구 온난화를 주제로 한 중학교 수학 ‘자료의 정리와 해석’ 영역의 교수-학습 자료 개발

Developing Teaching and Learning Materials for the area of ‘Organizing and Interpreting Data’ Focused on Global Warming Education in the Middle School Mathematics

본 연구의 목적은 지구 온난화를 주제로 학생들의 수학 학습 동기와 흥미를 유발하는 동시에 학생들로 하여금 지구 온난화의 개념과 영향 및 원인을 생각해보게 하고 나름의 극복 방안을 모색해볼 수 있는 교수-학습 자료를 개발하는 것이다. 이를 위해 먼저 2015 개정 수학과 교육과정 분석을 통해 지구온난화 문제를 다루는데 적합한 수학 학습 주제로 중학교 수학의 ‘자료의 정리와 해석’ 영역을 설정한 뒤, 4차시 분량의 교수-학습 자료를 교과서 예시 단원 형태로 개발하였다. 개발된 자료의 타당성 제고를 위해 현직 수학교사 3인과 수학교육 전공 교수 3인으로부터 전문가 자문과 검토를 받아 반영하고, 자료의 현장적합성 검토를 위해 자료에 대한 학생들의 반응을 분석하였다. 본 연구에서 개발한 교수-학습 자료는 일종의 예시 자료로서 실제 활용 과정에서 해당 학교와 교사 및 학생 상황에 따라 재구성이나 수정, 보완이 필요 하지만, 수학교육 분야에서 지구 온난화와 기후 변화에 대한 교육과 연구가 부족한 현 상황에서 이와 관련된 보다 다양하고 심도 깊은 교육과 연구를 위한 기초 자료가 될 수 있을 것으로 보인다.

The purpose of this study is to develop teaching and learning materials for the area of ‘organizing and interpreting data’ focused on global warming education in the middle school mathematics. For this, we first analyse the 2015 revised national mathematics curriculum to set the subject for global warming education, and then develop teaching and learning materials in a form of units in current mathematics textbook. Three mathematics teachers and three professors majoring in mathematics education examine and review those materials to enhance the validity of them, and we survey the response of students for those materials to check the field suitability of them. The results of this study can be basic data for education and other researches of global warming in mathematics education.
