시사토론에서 전문가들이 제시하는 근거 연구

The study for evidence from experts in TV debates

본 연구에서는 시사토론을 보고 듣는 학습자의 비판적 듣기 능력을 신장하고자, 시사토론에서 전문가들이 제시하는 근거를 구성 양상과 유형으로 나누어 비판적으로 분석하여 학습자들이 시사토론을 비판적으로 들을 때 필요한 교수·학습 내용의 토대로 삼고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 전통적인 형태의 시사토론 프로그램 사례 4개를 대상으로 삼아 대화분석의 하향식 분석 방법을 적용하여 분석하였다. 본 연구에서 분석한 결과, 전문가들은 근거 활용 측면에서 많은 문제를 보였다. 먼저 전문가들은 입증 책임을 다하지 않거나 부수적 근거에 치중하고, 근거를 누락시키고, 주장을 근거처럼 표현하는 등의 구성면에서의 문제를 노출하였다. 또한 전문가들은 다양한 유형의 근거를 준비하여 자신의 주장을 뒷받침하였으나, 각 유형의 근거를 구사함에 있어 문제점을 보였다.

The purpose of this study is to develop the learner s critical listening ability of TV debate. The evidence presented by the experts in the TV debate is divided into the aspect of construction and the type and analyzed critically. As a result of this study, the experts showed many problems in terms of using evidence. First, the experts exposed problems such as not fulfilling the burden of proof, focusing on collateral grounds, omitting evidence, and expressing claims as evidence. Experts also supported their claims by preparing various types of evidence, but they showed problems in using each type of evidence. Problems in the use of evidence by the experts presented in this study can be the basis for constructing concrete teaching and learning contents such as analysis and evaluation of individual arguments and grasping of disputes.
