중학생이 인지한 부모 지지와 학업성취압력이 그릿(Grit)에 미치는 영향

The effects of middle school students’ perception of parental support and academic achievement pressure on their grit

본 연구는 삶의 장기적 목표성취에 중요한 변인인 그릿에 주목하여, 중학생이 인지한 부모의 지지와 학업성취압력 수준이 그릿에 미치는 상대적 영향력을 살펴보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 2017년 3월 29일부터 4월 3일까지 C시 소재 중학교 재학생 227명을 대상으로 자료를 수집하였으며 이를 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 학년에 따른 차이검증 결과 부모 지지와 학업성취압력의 경우 유의한 차이가 나타나지 않았으나 그릿의 경우 학년이 낮을수록 그릿 수준이 높게 나타났다. 둘째, 부모지지와 학업 성취압력은 중학생의 그릿 수준과 유의한 정적 상관을 보였으며 부모의 지지와 학업 성취압력의 순으로 그릿 수준에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 부모 지지의 하위 요인 중에서는 정서적 지지만이 그릿 수준에 정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났고 상대적 영향력은 정서적 지지, 성적기대, 생활압력의 순으로 높았다. 또한 학업성 취압력의 하위 요인 중 성적기대는 그릿 수준에 정적 영향을 미쳤고 생활압력은 부적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.

The purpose of this study was to examine about parents support and academic achievement pressure that middle school students perceived, about a correlation between a grit level and each in variables, and about the effects in the parents support and academic achievement pressure on grit. The subjects in this study were 227 students who are attending middle school where is located in C city. The results are as follows. First, the grit showed a significant difference depending on school year except the effort persistence that is a sub-factor. Second, in consequence of analyzing a relationship among parents support, academic achievement pressure and grit level, the parents support and academic achievement pressure showed a significant positive correlation with a grit level. Third, it had a significant impact on middle school students grit level in order of the parents support and academic achievement pressure. Among sub-factors of the parents support, only the emotional support was indicated to have a positive effect on the grit level. The relative impact was higher in order of the emotional support, the school achievement expectancy, and the living pressure. The living pressure was indicated to have a negative effect.
