기혼여성간호사의 대학원과정 경험에 대한 일상생활기술적 연구

An Ethnographic Research on the Graduate School Experience of Married Women Nurses

본 연구는 기혼여성간호사의 대학원과정 경험을 한국의 사회문화적 맥락에서 심층적이고 포괄적으로 이해하고자 일상생활기술적 연구방법을 적용한 질적 연구이다. 본 연구의 정보제공자는 현직에 근무 중인 기혼 간호사로서 일반대학원 과정생 8명 이었다. 자료수집은 2017년 7월 1일부터 2017년 11월 1일까지 심층면담과 참여관찰로 진행했다. 자료분석은 Spradley의 분석방법에 따랐다. 본 연구의 결과는 1개의 문화적 주제, 5개의 범주와 9개의 하위범주로 나타났다. 기혼여성간호사의 대학원과정의 문화적 주제는 ‘현실을 딛고 간호전문직을 이끄는 자가 되어감’으로 도출되었다. 5개의 범주는 ‘목표와 지식에 목마름’, ‘나와 가족의 바람’, ‘더불어 아등바등 배우고 익힘’, ‘새로운 여성상으로 살아감’, ‘이끄는 자가 되어감’으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 기혼 여성 대학원생의 다양한 역할을 이해함으로써 빠르게 변화하는 간호전문직 발전을 지원할 건강 및 사회적 지원 시스템 마련의 기초 자료가 될 것이다.

This ethnography was performed to explore patterns and meanings of married women who were in course of graduate school for nursing especially in Korea cultural context. Informants were consisted of 8 students in general graduate school of nursing who were married and working. The data was collected by in-depth interview and participant observation from July 1, 2017 to November 1, 2017. The data was analyzed following Spradley’s methodology. The results of this research were into one cultural theme, five categories, and nine sub-categories. The cultural theme was ‘becoming a leader in professional nursing by overcoming difficult reality.’ The five categories were enthusiasm for goal and knowledge’, ‘self and family expectancy’, ‘struggling to learn and practice together’, ‘living with a new image of a woman and being a leader’. This study will be a basis for a woman s health and social support system for married women who were in course of graduate school for nursing through understanding the married women s multiple roles. Also, this paper will be contribute for supporting the development of professional nurses who are adapting to the rapidly changing society.
