언어치료전공생의 노인언어재활 이해 실태

Speech Language Pathology Students Understanding of the Elderly Speech-Language Rehabilitation

본 연구는 언어치료학 또는 언어병리학을 전공하는 학생들의 노인언어재활에 대한 이해 실태를 파악하기 위하여 2018년 1월 3일부터 2월 17일까지 전국의 4년제 대학교 학생 224명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였고, 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 언어치료 전공생의 53.2%는 노인언어재활에 대해 잘 알고 있지 못하는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 노인언어재활의 대상자로 노화에 의한 의사소통장애 노인을 51.8%로 꼽았다. 셋째, 노인언어재활의 필요성, 이유, 치료분야에 대해서는 94,6%가 필요하며, 삶의 질과 관련된 이유가 51.3%, 치료분야는 표현향상이 75.5%로 가장 높았다. 넷째, 학문적 준비도에 대해서는 87.5%가 준비되지 않았다고 답하였다. 다섯째, 임상경험에 대해서는 88.4%가 없다고 응답하였고, 여섯째, 관련된 교육에 대한 참여의사는 가끔이 44.6%로 나타났다. 일곱째, 82.6%의 응답자가 노인언어재활의 효과성이 높다고 답하였다.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the understanding of the elderly speech-language rehabilitation of university students majoring in speech language pathology. This Study was a descriptive survey design using convenience sampling. After IRB approval exemption, there were 224 university students majoring in speech language pathology, who agreed to participate in this study, taken a self-report questionnaire from January 3rd to February 27th, 2018. Responses to questions about understanding of the elderly speech-language rehabilitation were calculated as frequency and percentage. The major findings of this study were as follows. 1) 53.2% of the participants did not know about the elderly speech-language rehabilitation. 2) as a subject, the major students named 51.8% of the elderly with communication disorders due to aging. 3)the necessity, reason and treatment field, 94.6% were needed, 51.3% for the quality of life and 75.5% for improvement of expression language. 4) 87.5% of them were not ready for academic preparation. 5) 88.4% students had no clinical experience. 6) 44.6% of them said that they would like to participate in education occasionally. 7) 82.6% of the respondents answered that the effectiveness of the elderly speech-language rehabilitation is high.
