Foreign direct investment(FDI) by the Korean SMEs have accelerated over the past 5 years. But many barriers make it difficult for the Korean SMEs to enter into the Chinese market. Carrying out their successful penetration into the Chinese market, the Korean SMEs should have investment motivations which reflect appropriately the ever-changing Chinese market environments and are compatible for their resource pool. This paper make an empirical research on relationship their investment motivations with performances, and is to help the Korean SMEs that have been suffered from unexpectedly poor performance in China.
