This paper aims to analyze the economic impacts of THAAD-related conflicts between Korea and China on the tourism sector of Jeju provincial area in Korea. For this purpose, this paper employs system dynamics approach which has been rarely used in analyzing the impacts of political issues on economic areas. Since 15 March 2017 when the Mainland China prohibited Chinese tourists from travelling to Korea, Korea has been being seriously affected to the extent to which many employees in Jeju province, an attractive region for Chinese tourists, lost their jobs, huge amount of local revenues in the province have been reduced, and millions of tourists from China travelled to other countries. Accordingly, this has brought about a huge reduction of Chinese tourist to Korea and the big loss of local revenues in Jeju provincial area. The research results, based on the policy simulation, show that if the Chinese policy which prevents Chinese tourists from traveling to Korea continues, the Jeju provincial government has to take proactive measures to overcome the financial losses caused by the THAAD issues.
