The study attempts to discover the influencing factors on the successful factors for the regional festivals, which have been hosted by the local governments in Korea since the local autonomy system being introduced. For effective study, it employed three categories of independent variables. The first group includes managerial factors such as personnel and financial aids for the festivals. The second group focuses on the program of the event and the quality with the festivals. The third group interests with facility, transportation, and etc. The research also tested the degree of visitor s satisfaction as dependent variable. Finally, the test accommodated binary method in part and also run multiple regression model for effective estimation. The results show that the quality of the festivals and managerial and financial supports for the festivals would be crucial for the successful festivals. The support made by the national government is also disclosed being important factors. Further study will test the relationship between the regional development and the successful regional festivals for completion.
