Since the 1990s, Korea has been rapidly moving toward a multi-cultural society. Then the Korean society has been taking much interest in multi-culturalism and multi-cultural society which reflects an dramatic increase in migrant workers, immigrant wives, and multi-ethnic families and children and the expansion of the ethnic and cultural diversity in Korea. In this context, this study reviews the existing state of foreign residents and the current realities of the legal and institutional system and the administration supporting system of the multi-culturalism policies in Korea. And this paper also examines a general outline of social enterprise and the several cases of social enterprise for immigrant wives and multi-ethnic families which is a group of vulnerable members of society in the light of policy target of social enterprise and multi-culturalism.
