This study suggests a stable multi-cultural society through supportive policies designed to improve the female immigrants life quality and integration into a local community. Specially, continuous education and enlightenment may be necessary for families and neighbors to eliminate prejudices against female immigrants. And a social integration programs may also be necessary to meet the needs of a married female immigrants. Economic supports could be available to most female immigrants who are in poor economic conditions. In addition, legal and institutional support should be provided with accessible procedures to obtain citizenship and find a job. Furthermore, it may be urgent to introduce so-called Multi-cultural Family Support Act. There are many functions to be asked to local self-governments. They can provide job training for female immigrants to display their potential abilities, offer jobs, and operate education or consultation programs for families to solve problems and conflicts. It may also be necessary to introduce an administrative agency that may be in solely charge of multi-cultural families-related affairs. Finally, a system of consolidating a local self-government, NGOs, and residents should be developed with the purpose of creating socal environments that those female immigrants are truly understood and accepted as a neighbor and a citizen in Korea.
