A Study on the Conflict Management Mechanism between Central Government and Local Government

This research was conducted with a focus on the mutual relationship between the central government and local government. The researcher closely reviewed major contents in relation to public conflicts and the conflicts between the governments, and the related theories as well, and established a frame for analytical researches. Based on this analytic frame, the researcher has intended to get such topics together, on the ground of the precedent research works, as the concept of public conflicts and its characteristics, the concept of conflicts between the governments and reason of occurrence thereof and its distinctive features, and conflict management strategy, etc. Through the researches as above, the researcher investigated about the desirable conflict management methods between the central government and local government in institutional aspects. The desirable relationship between the central government and local government in the institutional aspect is as follows.
