Analysis of Educational Consciousness of Christian Parents by Their Child’s School Types and Christian Educational Suggestions.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the educational consciousness of Christian parents according to their child’s school types and to make a Christian educational suggestions. Previous studies have shown that parents role in the education is very important. However, there are not many studies on the educational consciousness of Christian parents in the field of Christian education. In this study, the researcher examined how the educational consciousness of the Christian parents influences their school choice for their child. For this study, the researcher surveyed 242 parents who sent their children to Christian alternative schools, Christian private schools, and national and public schools. Research results are as follow: First, it was revealed that the most important reason for choosing a Christian alternative school was due to education based on Christian values. Second, parents who selected Christian alternative schools were significantly more satisfied with parents school satisfaction than parents who selected Christian private schools and national public schools. Third, it was revealed that the satisfaction level of the faith education affects the school satisfaction. Fourth, the ecological system of faith education for parents education affected the faith maturity of parents and the awareness of children s faith education. Based on these research results, the researcher made five Christian educational suggestions.
