부모 이혼 과정에서 의사표현에 대한 청소년의 인식

Adolescents perception of expressions in parental divorce

이 연구는 부모가 이혼하게 될 경우 함께 살게 될 양육자, 비양육자와의 만남, 전학, 이사 등 청소년의 삶과 관련된 일들을 결정하는 데 있어서 청소년들이 의사표현을 통한 참여를 원하는지 여부와 그 이유가 무엇인지를 탐색하는 데 목적이 있다. 연 구대상자는 인천시와 경기도 G시에 거주한 중학생과 고등학생 391명이었다. 연구결과 첫째, 부모가 이혼하게 될 경우 청소년들은 93.9%가 부모 이혼 과정에서 의사표현을 통한 참여를 원하는 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 성별에 따른 차이로는 여학생이 남학생보다 참여를 더 원하는 것으로 나타났다. 반면 학교급에 따른 차이는 없는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째 의사표현을 통한 참여를 희망한다는 청소년 중 부모의 이혼을 경험하였으나 실제로 참여했던 청소년의 비율은 낮았다. 셋째, 의사표현을 통해 참 여하겠다고 한 청소년들은 자신의 삶이기 때문에 스스로가 선택해야한다고 생각하는 이유가 가장 많았다. 반면 참여하지 않겠다고 한 청소년들은 이혼은 부모님 두 분의 일이라고 인식하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구의 결과는 부모 이혼으로 인한 부정적 영향을 예방하고 청소년의 긍정적 적응과 나아가 자기실현의 삶을 촉진하기 위한 전략을 마련하는데 도움이 될 것이다.

The study aims to explore whether adolescents want to participate in the decision-making process and their reasons in determining the lives of adolescents if their parents are divorced. The subjects of the study were 391 middle and high school students located in Incheon and Gyeonggi area. The results are as follows. First, the study found that most Adolescents want to participate in the decision-making process about divorce. According to gender analysis, female students wanted more participation than male students. On the other hand, there was no difference according to the school level. Second, Among adolescents who said they wanted to participatin the decision-making process, they have experienced parental divorce but the percentage of adolescents who actually participated in the decision-making process was low. Third, Adolescents who want to participate in the decision-making process had the highest number of reasons that they felt they had to choose because of their own lives. On the other hand, adolescents who refused to participate in the decision-making process recognized that a divorce is the parent’s decision. The results of this study could guide the prevention of negative effects of parental divorce and the creation of a point of intervention and strategy to promote a positive adaptation of adolescents and, ultimately, a life of self-realization.
