A Study on the Proper Friction Welding Condition of Friction Welding for Similar Steel

The friction welding process may be utilized as a new approach for joining pipes instead of other conventional welding processes. Friction welding has more technical and economic advantages as well as excellent bonding performance compared with other welding processes. As this welding process has characteristics such as reduced number of processes owing to the simplification of complex products in the mechanical industry, easy and quick automation for mass production of reliable products, reduced production time, material cost reduction, etc., it is widely used as a means of joining with high energy efficiency. Thus this paper determines the proper welding conditions and analyzes the mechanical properties of friction welded joints.
