Guideline for Ecological Education Program using Cognitive Learning Theory

A guideline that can improve effectiveness of education by applying cognitive approaches to the existing ecological education was suggested in this study. Cognitive learning theory that includes cognitive processes, insight, field theory, social learning theory and interaction, and sensory integration could be very useful tool for human to recognize and to understand their position and roles in ecosystem. Various effects such as Improvement of understanding and satisfaction, expansion of cognitive domain, promoting comprehensive understanding through insight, increase sensitivity by interaction, and provision of instruction method to a ecological educator, can be expected by applying cognitive approaches to the ecological education. The proposed guideline can be used in both direct and indirect areas of ecological education and provide specialty improvement of ecological educators.
