한국 웰니스 관광 발전 방안에 관한 연구

웰니스 관광 컨텐츠 및 브랜드 이미지를 중심으로

As the medical tourism promotion system or support policy is currently being promoted mainly to attract foreign patients who are medical tourists in a narrow sense, the goal of achieving new high added value through synergy and co growth with the related industries show limitations, and related problems such as medical accidents were recognized. Thereby, Wellness tourism is starting to emerge as a new paradigm and there is a growing interest in wellness tourism. To foster a successful medical tourism market, medical tourism should be expanded from a medical-service-oriented area to a wellness service area and create a synergy effect by convergence with related industries. To fulfill this goal, we need to understand; First, why should we expand to the Wellness Medical Tourism? Second, what is the positioning of Korea s Wellness Medical Tourism? Third, what is the category of Wellness Medical Tourism industry? Fourth, what should we do to grow the Wellness medical tourism. For these purposes, the medical tourism concept and the medical tourism market were first understood, and the status of medical tourism in Korea and major countries was understood to predict the problems and future of current medical tourism. Third, I wanted to understand the concept and possibility of tourism as a future development direction of medical tourism. And finally I suggested strategic direction for development of wellness tourism focusing on wellness tourism contents and brand image which can be used by local government.
