The growing interest of individuals in Quality of Life(QL), including Quality of Work Life, is reflected in the growing social concern of organizations. Convergence of the trends in the emerging era of restricted economic growth is significant for organizational behavior and the management of organization. Therefore Accomplishing goals while utilizing resources efficiently(productivity) and providing a climate that enchances the well-being of participants are key issues in every work organization. Productivity is a measure of efficiency of the organizational transformation process of converting inputs into outputs. Improved productivity stems form three primary source; technology, managerial skills and human efforts. Paying greater attention to the psychosocial system and creating a climate of greater employee involvement can have significant payoffs in terms of productivity. Productivity can be increased directly by improved communication, employee motivation, and skills and abilities. It can also be affected indirectly through increased worker satisfaction which in turn results in productive employees joining and remaining with the firm.
