회전체형(Carousel-type) 物流 설비의 효율성에 대한 분석연구

An Analysis of Carousel-type Material Handling Systems

This paper is an analytical description and review on the models of carousel type material handling systems. Cycling server queueing systems, polling systems, and various ring type models are used. The equivalent systems are offer employed in the area of telecommunications and compater networks areas of tileconnunications and compater networks. The performance efficiency of these systems can be measured in various ways. average waiting time, average troughput time, through put rate per unit of time, average working machines, output rates, etc. These measures, however, can be derived from steady state probabilities of the models. Thus, sometimes, we discussed the steady state statistics in stead of the measures themselves. Analytical modelling for newly emerging material handling systems is a contribution of this paper. Some complex systems, such as Mervyn and Nissan rings, are just described as linked queueing models, but are still under analytical research for approximatins, which is expected to give good explanations of the system efficiency.
