자폐스펙트럼장애아동과의 치료에서 음악치료사의 관계형성 경험에 대한 합의적 질적 연구

Consensual Qualitative Research on the Music Therapists’ Experiences of Therapeutic Relationships with Children on the Autism Spectrum Disorder

이 연구는 자폐스펙트럼장애아동과의 치료에서 음악치료사의 관계형성 경험을 고찰하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 이를 위해 연구자는 자폐스펙트럼장애아동과의 치료 경험이 있는 음악치료사 9명과 심층면담을 진행하였고, 합의적 질적 연구 방법으로 분석하였다. 교차분석결과, ‘자폐 스펙트럼장애에 대한 사전인식’, ‘치료관계형성의 어려움’, ‘치료관계형성을 위한 노력’, ‘치료관계형성 경험’ ‘자폐스펙트럼장애아동과 치료관계형성을 통한 성장’등 총 5개의 영역과 25개의 범주가 도출되었다. 이 연구의 결과는 음악치료사들이 사회적 상호작용에 어려움을 보이는 자폐 스펙트럼장애아동과의 관계를 어떻게 형성하며, 치료를 통해 어떻게 관계를 형성하며 어려움을 극복하기 위한 여러 노력의 극복과정 및 다양한 임상적 개입에 대한 시도 등을 탐색할 수 있었다. 더 나아가서 이를 통해 음악치료사로서 성취감과 직업적 보람, 동기부여 등을 경험하고 나아가 치료사로서 성장에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것을 알 수 있었다. 이에 이 연구는 자폐스펙트럼 장애아동과의 음악치료에서 관계형성의 과정 및 임상적 개입, 치료사의 정서적 어려움 등에 관한 심층적인 정보를 제공하여 자폐스펙트럼장애아동이 주 대상인 음악치료사들에게 치료관계의 방향성을 제시하고 전문적·개인적 발달에 지침을 제공하고자 한다.

Th e purpose of this study was to qualitatively examine Korean music therapists’experience in their therapeutic relationships with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder(ASD). Th e data was collected from in-depth interviews and was analyzed, using Consensual Qualitative Research (CQR). As the result of data analysis, fi ve domains were emerged: “prejudice against children with ASD,”“experiences of therapeutic relationships building,”“diffi culties in building therapeutic relationships,”“eff orts to build therapeutic relationships,”“development through therapeutic relationships building with children with ASD.”Th ese domains were further divided into 25 categories. Th e results of this study suggest that music therapists themselves had positive experiences of self-growth as they developed therapeutic relationships. Th is study also accentuates the importance of maintaining therapeutic relationships with children with ASD and provides direction for music therapists who strive to develop these relationships.
