그래픽 조직자를 활용한 연구에 대한 메타분석

A Meta-analysis of Graphic Organizer Program

본 연구는 메타분석 기법을 통해 그래픽 조직자를 활용한 연구들의 효과크기를 산출하여, 그래픽 조직자를 활용한 프로그램 개발 및 연구 있어 필요한 기초자료를 제공하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 국내 석·박사 학위 논문 및 학술지 논문을 대상 으로 PICOS에 의거하여 35편의 연구에서 얻어진 70개의 효과크기를 산출하였으며, 이를 대상으로 R을 이용하여 메타분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과 그래픽 조직자를 활용한 연구들의 평균 효과크기는 0.66으로 중간 효과크기를 나타내 그래픽 조직자를 활용한 연구들의 효과가 입증되었다. 그러나 큰 이질성이 있음이 확인되어(I²= 79.6%) 평균 효과크기에 영향을 주는 변수를 검증하기 위해 연구대상, 투입기간, 적용교과, 종속변인을 조절변수로 하여 메타 ANOVA를 추가적으로 실시하였다. 그 결과 연구대상과 적용교과에서는 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 나타내지 않았으나, 투입 기간과 종속변인에서 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 나타내 이질성의 원인을 발견하였 다. 따라서 그래픽 조직자를 활용한 프로그램은 4개월 이상 투입하였을 때, 종속변인을 쓰기능력으로 하였을 때 가장 큰 효과를 볼 수 있는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 이러한 본 연구의 결과는 추후 그래픽 조직자를 활용한 프로그램 제작 및 구성, 연구에 있어 중요한 근거를 제공할 것으로 사료되며, 더욱 향상된 수업 효과를 얻는데 도움이 될 것으로 보인다.

The purpose of this research was to analyze graphic organizer program using a meta-analysis method and explored the flow of research conducted and the possibilities for future research. This research collected PISCO data on domestic master & doctoral theses and journals. It then calculated 70 effect sizes obtained from 35 studies and used meta-analysis with R. The result of research is as follows. First, the average effect size from graphic organizer learning program was 0.66 as the medium effect size. This result proved the effect of graphic organizer program. The heterogeneity of the average effect size was large (I²= 79.6%), and META - ANOVA was used as a control variable to test variables affecting the average effect size. As a result, there were statistically significant differences in the input period and dependent variable. Graphic organizer is most effective when it is used for more than 4 months and dependent variables are writing ability. Therefore, the results of this research are expected to provide an essential basis for future graphic organizer program creation and composition, and it will help to achieve more effective class effect.
