문제성 주식투자 경험에 관한 내러티브 탐구

A Narrative Inquiry of Experience of Excessive Stock Investments : A Study on Gambling of Stock Investments

이 연구의 목적은 과도한 주식투자 경험에 대한 내러티브를 탐구해 주식투자의 도박성과 중독성을 밝히는 데 있다. 연구의 목적 달성을 위해 총 3명의 내러티브 주인공을 선정했으며, 1:1 심층면담을 통해 분석에 필요한 자료를 수집했다. 수집된 자료는 Connelly와 Clandinin(1990)이 제안한 내러티브 탐구방법을 활용해 분석했다. 분석결과 돈에 대한 열망, 주식정보 입수, 변동성, 돈의 가치 상실, 차트에 갇힌 영혼, 남아있는 불씨를 논의의 주제로 도출할 수 있었다. 도출된 주제들을 종합한 결과 주식투자 경험의 내러티브는 “돈에 대한 열망과 주식정보로 ‘주식도박’에 중독된 후 벗어났지만 단도박을 장담할 수 없음”으로 종합되었다. 연구자들은 연구결과를 바탕으로 ‘돈의 의미에 대한 성찰기회 제공’, ‘중독재활 상담사에 대한 주식 및 경제 교육’, ‘주식 절제 프로그램 개발 및 도입’, ‘사행산업 개념에 대한 재논의’가 필요함을 피력했다.

This study aimed to illustrate characteristics of stock investment as gambling and addictiveness through research on an experience of excessive stock investments. To achieve the goal, 3 narrative main characters were selected and data were collected through 1 on 1 in-depth interviews. The collected data were analyzed with a narrative inquiry research method suggested by Connelly and Clandinin(1990). As a result, a desire for money , a stock information acquisition , variability , a loss in the value of money , a soul trapped in charts , the embers of fire were drawn as the subject matters of a discussion. By putting these drawn subjects together, the narrative of a stock investment experience was generalized to the point that “once addicted to ‘Stock Gambling’ with a desire for money and a stock information, people got clean but can not assure stopping gambling”. The researchers express the necessity for ‘providing an opportunity for examining the meaning of money for oneself’, ‘proving an education on stock and economics to a addiction rehabilitation counsellor’, ‘introducing programs on controlling stock investments’ and ‘a rediscussing the concept of gambling’ based on the result.
