‘1인 가구 시대’ 한국 천주교회의 가정사목 연구* - 가족 공론장의 변화와 교회의 과제를 중심으로 -

A Stduy on the Family Pastoral in Korean Catholic Church in the Single family age - Focusing on the change of the family public sphere and the task of the church -

이 논문은 먼저 오늘날 가장 큰 변화를 겪고 있는 ‘가족’개념이 현재 한국사회의 공론장 안에서 어떻게 논의되는지 살핀다. 나아가 교회 안의 가족 담론은 어떻게 논의되는지를 살펴봄으로써 교회가 지향하고 나아가야 할 가정사목의 방향에 대해 모색하고 있다. 오늘날 한국사회의 공론장에서 논의되는 가족 담론의 방향과 교회가 고민하는 가족 담론은 상당한 간극이 존재한다. 일례로 한국사회는 ‘정상가 족’이데올로기를 확산하는데 기여하는 ‘정상가족’담론이 존재하고 있고, 이와 병행하여 교회는 ‘성가정’담론이 존재하는데, 이에 대한 비판적 성찰을 통한 인식의 전환이 새로운 가족 담론을 모색하는데 전제될 필요가 있다. 그래야 ‘성가정’(정상가족) 중심의 가정사목에 치중하느라 돌보지 못했던한 부모 가족, 조부모 가족, 입양 가족, 재혼 가족, 나아가 가장 다수의 가구 유형으로 자리 잡은 1인 가구에도 관심의 시선을 돌릴 수 있기 때문이다. 오늘날 가정은 정태적인 존재가 아니라 동태적인 존재로서 사회 변화의 물결 앞에서 끊임없이 요동치고 있다. 여기서 가정사목은 하루빨리 가정생 활의 전 부문에 관심을 쏟는 사목으로 확장되어야 한다. 직장과 노동, 주거문제, 가정의 경제활동, 입시문제, 지역 환경, 가정 내 의사소통, 대중매 체와 통신매체 이용, 건강, 가정의 성문제 등 가정을 둘러싸고 벌어지는 삶의 문제들이 가정사목과 별개의 것이 아니라 그 주된 내용이라는 점을 알아야 한다. 나아가 이런 관점은 청소년사목, 노인사목, 직장인사목, 생명운동, 노동사목, 소공동체운동 등 교회의 다른 사목활동이 가정사목 안에서 하나로 합류할 것을 요청한다.

First of all, this paper considers how the concept of ‘family’, which is undergoing a major transformation, is discussed in the public sphere of Korean society. Furthermore, by looking at how ‘family’ discourse in the church is discussed, it is seeking for directions of the family pastoral that the church should aim at. There is a considerable gap between the direction of family discourse discussed in the public sphere of Korean society and the discourse of the family deliberated in the church. For example, Korean society has a ‘normal family’ discourse that contributes to the spread of ‘normal family’ ideology. In addition, the church has a discourse of ‘Holy family’. So, the church needs to seek a new family discourse through a paradigm shift by a critical study of the ‘Holy family’(normal family). That way the church can deeply concern for the single-parent families, grandparent families, adoptive families, remarried families, and even single-family households(a major type of households in our society) that have not been cared for by focusing on holy family-centered pastoral act. Today, the family is not a static entity but a dynamic entity, constantly fluctuating in front of the wave of social change. Now, the family pastoral should be expanded to a pastoral act which is interested in all aspects of family life as soon as possible. matters around families, such as work and labor, housing problems, domestic economic activities, entrance examination, local environment, communication in the home, use of mass media and communication media, health, are not different topic of family pastoral. Church must recognize those are main issues. Furthermore, this view calls for other pastoral activities of the church such as youth pastoral, elder pastoral, labor pastoral, small community movement will be joined in family pastoral.
