The aim of this study is to analyze the domestic and external travel industries in preparation for the 4th industrial revolution and prepare the countermeasures to flexibly cope with the travel environment. This approach was analyzed using in-depth interviews, a category of qualitative research methodologies. A summary of countermeasures is outlined below. First, the travel industry, which is remarkably lacking in funding compared to profitability, requires mutual solidarity among similar industries. Secondly, the function and role of travel businesses have to develop new areas of business because they are expected to be gradually reduced. Third, businesses should seek diversified projects such as travel sharing platforms based on the platform projects already operating in advanced countries. Fourth, it should be differentiated by advanced tours such as silver tour amid the spread of aging population. Fifth, the government should form a policy support and public-private partnerships to promote the development of the tourism industry.
