고등학교 교과서의 한국 사상과 그리스도교 - 2015 개정안과 2009 개정안을 중심으로 -

Thought of Korean and Christianity in high school textbook -Focusing on revision of 2009 and 2015 curriculum –

본 논문은 현행 고등학교 도덕과 교과서(2009년 개정안과 2015년 개정안)에 수록된 그리스도교 부분에 대한 분석을 통해 한국 사상의 범위 설정에 대한 시론적 문제 제기이다. 그리스도교와 관련된 내용을 담고 있는 도덕과 교과서는 “윤리와 사상”, “고전과 윤리”, “종교학”등이다. 특별히 2015년 개정안은 “창의 융합적 인재 양성”이라는 교육목적을 바탕으로 형성되었다. ‘창의’와 ‘융합’은 문과 이과의 통합적 사유를 기반으로 세계와의 소통을 통해 새로운 문화를 창출할 것을 지향하고 있다. 하지만 소통의 전제가 ‘자아 정체성’의 확립이라는 점에서 현행 교과서들은 ‘한국의 정체성’을 일깨울 만한 ‘사상적’ 기 반이 취약하다고 말할 수 있다. 이러한 현상은 현행 교과서들이 그리스도교를 바라보는 시각 안에서도 드러난다. 그리스도교는 비록 서구에서 전래된 종교, 문화이지만 한국의 근대 역사를 형성한 주요 사상 가운데 하나이다. 현 시점에 서 그리스도교에 대한 한국적 인식이 매우 중요한 문제임에도 현행 교과서들안에 반영된 그리스도교는 여전히 서구의 종교 문화로만 이해되고 있다 말할수 있다. 이는 특정 종교에 대한 이해 문제에 제한되지 않고 한국 사상의 정체성에 대한 문제와도 연관이 된다. 본 논문은 이러한 시각에서 현행 고등학교 교과서들에 나타난 그리스도교 부분에 대한 내용 분석을 통해 한국 사상의 범위 문제에 대해 간략히 논하였다.

This study brings up the current problems on scope of Korean thought through analysis of Christianity in existing high school ethic text books (revision of 2009 and 2015). Ethic text books on Christianity are “Ethics and Thought”, “Classics and Ethics” and “Science of Religion”. Specially, the revision of 2015 is made under the base of “cultivating creative, united, talented person”. Here, “creative” and “united” aimed to create a new culture for globalization based on merging the thoughts of liberal arts and natural sciences. But the pre-requisite of communication is the establishment of ‘self- identity’, it can be said that current text books are weak of ‘thought’ base aiming to awake ‘Korean identity’. Such a phenomenon is revealed in their vision of Christianity. Although Christianity is passed down from the West in the form of religion and culture, it is one of the major thought to form modern Korean history. At current viewpoint, even though Korean awareness on Christianity is important the Christianity reflected in the current text books, are simply understood as to Western religion and culture. It is not just limited to certain religion, but connected to the identity of Korean thought. This study analyzed Christianity part shown in current high school text books in such a viewpoint, and briefly discussed the scope of Korean thought.
