칼빈에게 있어 이중적(duplex) 개념과 중간적 개념에 대한 개괄적 이해

A general understanding of Calvin’s duplex and medium concepts

칼빈의 주요 저작에서 그의 신학의 구조적 특성이라고 할 수 있는 이중적 지식과 중간적 상태의 개념이 등장한다. 칼빈은 빈번하게 이러한 용어들을 사용하는데, 본 논문은 이것이 현대 칼빈연구자들이 주장하고 있는 개념과 어떤 차이가 있는지를 간단히 고찰했다. 또한 중세 스콜라학자들의 이러한 개념들과 칼빈의 견해가 어떤차이가 있고, 어떤 유사성과 특징들이 있는지를 살폈다. 특별히 중세스콜라학자들의 개념과 칼빈의 개념 사이의 연속성과 불연속성을 다루었다.

In Calvin’s major works, the concept of duality and intermediate state, which can be described as the structural characteristics of his theology, emerges. Calvin frequently uses these terms in his work. This paper briefly examined how this differs from the concept that modern Calvinists claim. I also looked at the differences between these concepts of medieval Scholastic scholars and Calvin’s views, and what similarities and characteristics they have. Especially the continuity and discontinuity between the concept of medieval scholars and the concept of Calvin.
