Strategy for the Development Agriculture and Forestry Industry in Korea and Internationalization Strategy According to the 4th Industrial Revolution

The purpose of this study is to suggest alternatives to the development of agriculture and forestry industry in the era of the 4th industrial revolution. For this purpose, this study is divided into future competencies that fit the new paradigm, and it is summarized and analyzed. There are limitations in applying to the labor-intensive agriculture and forestry sector, such as the theory of overseas advancement of traditional manufacturing companies or the network theory proposed as a way to advance overseas in the field of knowledge services. The purpose of this study is to classify and define knowledge resources that can be acquired locally through social capital theory. In addition, new strategic areas were derived through structural analysis of the forest industry, and the linkages between the derived strategic areas and future capabilities were confirmed. Through this, we were able to confirm the new future capacity required for the forest industry. It also provides practical implications by analyzing the fields and capabilities of each country in terms of internationalization. In addition, from the aspect of utilization of the research results, suggestions for securing competencies for the future competencies of the measures to cultivate the required competence of the agriculture and forestry industry derived through this study are presented. Through this, policy implications can be found and various policy attempts for industrial development will be possible.
