조선후기 잡체시 창작상의 몇 가지 특징

Several Characteristics of Creative Writing of Various Types of poems Poems in Late Joseon Dynasty

본고는 조선후기에 활동한 인물 가운데 다종다량의 雜體詩를 문집 내 수록했던 문인군을 살펴보고, 그 중 잡체시 창작 관련 논의에 유의미하다고 판단되는 14인을 추출하여 그들의 작품에 나타난 창작상의 주요 특징을 파악한 것이다. 이를 위해 한국고전번역원에서 제공하는 고전종합DB를 적극 활용하여 14인의 작품을 살펴본결과, 특정 시체의 집중 창작, 이전 시기 보이지 않던 새로운 시체의 출현, 기존 작법의 변용, 그리고 특정 연령대의 집중적 창작 등으로 창작상의 특징을 파악하였다. 다만 이는 현상 분석에 지나지 않는다. 문집 내 잡체시의 수록 비중은 正體詩에 비해 현저하게 낮고 어떤 문집에는 전혀 수록되어 있지 않음을 염두에 둔다면 생각해볼 문제가 적지 않기 때문이다. 이에 향후 잡체시 연구는 조선시대 문집의 撰者와 編者의 인식의 경계를 넘나들 수 있을 때 보다 그 실상이 선명하게 드러날 것이며, 잡체시 창작에 대한 당대 인식은 조선조 문집 간행 논의와 연동하여 이해할 필요가 있음을 간과해선 안 될 것이다.

This paper examined literary figures listed in various types of poems among figures in the late Joseon Dynasty, extracted 14 figures considered to be significant for discussing the creative writing of various types of poems, and identified major characteristics of creation shown in their literary works. It actively used classics comprehensive DB provided by the Institute for the Translation of Korean Classics Act and examined works of 14 figures. Four major characteristics such as creative writing focusing on certain poetic styles, the emergence of unprecedented new poetic style, variation of previous poetic composition, and concentrated writing of certain ages can be summarized. However, this merely analyzes the trend. Considering that the listing proportion of various types of poems in collections is remarkably lower than right poems and none is listed in a certain collection, there are certain matters to consider. Thus, further studies on various types of poems can approach the reality when the recognition boundary between writers and readers of literary collection in the Joseon Dynasty can be crossed. It should be considered that the awareness on writing various types of poems in that period needs to be understood in association with the discussion of publishing Jo Seon-jo literary works.
