제주도와 남해안지역의 융기문토기 검토

A Study on Earthenware Bowl with Raised Pattern in Jeju Island and the Southern Coast

융기문토기는 신석기시대 조기 단계 한반도 남해안 지역을 중심으로 사용되었던 토기로 동해안에서부터 가거도, 제주도를 비롯하여 내륙지역에서도 확인되고 있다. 제주도에서는 1989년 고산리유적 인근 해안 단애면에서 수습 보고되면서부터 현재까지 15개소 이상의 출토유적이 분포하고 있다. 제주도의 융기문토기는 지리적으로 가까운 서남해안 일대의 도서지역 유적과의 교류를 통해 유입된 것으로 이해하고 있었다. 제주도의 융기문토기를 문양별로 분류하고 남해안지역의 유물과 비교하여 문양소와 문양구성을 모식화하였다. 이것을 토대로 제주도의 융기문토기를 형식별로 분류한 후 남해안 일대의 여러유적과의 비교검토를 통해 획기를 구분하고 편년을 시도하였다. 그리고 공반되는 석기와 유구의 양상을 파악하여 제주도 조기 단계의 문화양상을 규명하고자 하였다. 그 결과 기존 서남해안 지역과의 교류 보다는 동남해안지역과 비교될 수 있는 유물이 확인되고 있다. 따라서 융기문토기 문화의 유입이 단순히 지리적으로 가까운 서남해안 도서지역과의 교류 뿐만 아니라 동남해안지역과교류 혹은 유입 등을 고려해야 할 것으로 판단된다. 또한 공반 석기나 유구 및 유물의 빈약함은 조기 단계에 환경적인 영향으로 추정된다.

Earthenware Bowl with Raised Pattern is a Neolithic pottery that was used around the southern provinces of the Korean Peninsula early stage in inland regions, including the Jeju Island, Gageodo from the donghaeIs being identified. More than 15 sites have been distributed in Jeju Island since 1989 when it was reported in the area of Danae-myeon near Gosan-ri. I understood that the pottery vessels of Jeju Island were introduced through exchanges with historic sites in the islands off the southwestern coast. In this article, we classified the pottery vessels of Jeju Island by type, and then tried to divide them by year after comparing them with various historical sites around the southern coast. Then, they tried to find out the cultural aspect of the early Jeju Island by identifying the aspect of the stone tools and the well-known water bodies. As a result, southeastern coastal areas rather than traditional exchanges with the Southwestern coast area, Earthenware Bowl with Raised Pattern in the influx of culture and artifacts have been identified that can be compared with just geographically.Dongnam-gu, as well as exchanges with the west coast islands near coastal areas and judged to be exchanges or must be taken into account the influx. In addition, the stone tools and the poorness of the relics are assumed to have an environmental impact at an early stage.
