독일의 사회민주주의와 로자 룩셈부르크의 사상

German’s Social Democracy and Rosa Luxemburg’s Idea

독일 사회민주당은 제 1차 세계대전이 발발하기 전까지 ‘국제주의’에 기본을 둔 반전 의지를 주장했다. 그러나 전쟁이 시작되자, 독일 사회민주당은 ‘방어전쟁’을 표방하면서 독일 제국정부의 전쟁을 지지했다. 로자 룩셈부르크는 빌헬름 제국 시기 독일사회민주당의 사회주의적 입헌주의 전통 하에서 1918년 독일혁명을 맞이했다. 로자 룩셈부르크는 사회개혁을 통한 사회주의로의 길이 지니는 한계를 지적하면서 혁명을 통한 사회주의로의 길을 주장한다. 이 글에서는 로자 룩셈부르크가 주장하고 있는 ‘혁명’ 그리고 ‘대중파업론’을 중심으로 그녀의 정치이론에 대해 알아보려 한다.

Prior paper to the conflict, the SPD repeatedly opposed war and this positin was reflected the Second International’s declared policy. Rosa Luxemburg found the cause of the SPD’s ‘betrayal’ in their incorrect perception of imperialism. This article reviews Rosa Luxemburg’s theories on democratic socialism as an effort to overcome the limitations of the two traditional socialist models –i.e. state socialism’ and social democracy-and by which to reconstruct a true sens of third-generation socialism. The author argues that Luxemburg’s ideas about democratic socialism are reliant on a parliamentary political system that woud be backed by the people’s spontaneous participation and their socialist civic virtue.
