한국어 부정의문문의 화용론적 연구 -간접화행을 중심으로-

Pragmatic Study of the Korean Negative Interrogative. The Journal of Korean Language Education Research

이 연구는 한국어 부정의문문이 갖는 특수한 화용에 초점을 둔다. 이를 위해 부정의문문의 형태·통사적 특징을 비롯해 의미·화용의 특징을 논의한 후, 그 의미기능에 따른 적절한 응답에 대해 논의한다. 부정의문문이란 화자의 특수한 목적과 의도로 발화된 부정 형식의 의문문이다. 의문문이 간접화행의 대표적인 문장유형인 점을 감안해 볼 때, 부정의문문이야말로 한국어의 대표적인 간접 화행의 실현양상이라고 할 수 있다. 따라서 이 연구는 실제 사용과 관련된 부정의문문의 의미기 능과 그 응답에 대한 담화 속 상황맥락에 따른 화용에 대해(특히 간접화행) 논의한 후, 한국어 부정의문문의 화용론적 교육 방안을 고안하여 한국어 학습자들의 부정의문문에 대한 화용능력 향상에 기여하고자 한다.

This study is focused on the special pragmatics of the korean negative interrogatives. A negative interrogative is a type of interrogative in negative form that is triggered by the speaker s specific purpose and intention. In view that interrogatives are a representative type of sentence for the indirect speech act, a negative interrogative is a representative of the realization of the indirect speech act of the korean language. Thus, to contribute to the enhancement of the korean-learners pragmatic capability of using the korean negative interrogative, this study discusses the morphometric-syntactic characteristics, the semantic-pragmatic characteristics, and the appropriate responses in accordance with their semantic functions. Also, this study illuminates the semantic function of the korean negative interrogatives and its response from a pragmatic perspective through examples that are used in various contexts.
