동학의 평화론에 관한 연구

본 논문은 동학사상 중 평화사상에 관한 연구의 시도이다. 동학은 그동안 많은 분야에서 폭넓게 연구가 진행되어 왔으나 평화론에 대해서는 연구성과가 거의 전무한 실정이다. 이런 점에서 본 논문은 평화론에 대한 구체적인 연구를 시도하고 있다. 동학의 평화론에 대한 구체적인 연구의 진행을 위해 동학이 지니고 있는 인간, 정치 및 국제질서에 대한 기본인식이 전 제되어야 한다. 동학의 인간관은 인간평등과 개체존중주의를 추구하고 있다. 동학의 정치관은 현실에 대한 분명한 인식을 기초로 하여 애민과 안민의 방향을 띠고 있다. 그리고 동학의 국제관은 당시의 국제질서를 제국주의시대로 규정하고 우리 민족의 반외세저항의지를 표명하고 있다. 이러한 기본인식을 기초로 해서 동학의 평화론의 내용을 살펴보면 첫째, 동학의 평화론은 천도실천론으로 규정할 수 있다. 여기서 천도실천론은 동양의 전통개념인 천도, 천명, 천리의 개념을 실천하자는 것이다. 둘째, 동학의 평화론은 도덕연계론을 지니고 있다. 셋째, 동학의 평화론은 조화상생론을 그 내용으로 하고 있고 넷째, 동학의 평화론은 보편적 공동체론을 함유하고 있다. 이러한 동학의 평화론은 이상주의적, 현실타파적 성격을 지니고 있다는 점에서 적극적 평화론으로 평가할 수 있다.

This treatise attends to analyse the theory of peace in Donghak thoughts. So far, the studies of Donghak in multiple areas are being conducted. But the study on peaceful thought of Donghak is almost nonexistent. As is generally known, Donghak thought is located in the most prominent figure in the history of Korean thoughts. The study on theory of peace in Donghak should be built on the foundation of Donghak’s knowledge in human being, politics and international order. The viewpoint of human being in Donghak seeks for humankind’s equality and respect as individual. And then view of politics in Donghak consists of the principle on the love of people in general. Next, the view of nternational order in Donghak is tinged with anti-imperialism. According to this respects, the contents of theory of peace in Donghak are as follows; First, it consists of theory of Chundo(천도)’practice. Secondly, theory of peace in Donghak is comprised of morality’s linkage. Thirdly, it’s content is the theory of Chohwa(조화)’s win-win. Finally, it comprises the theory of universal community. Putting all the ideas together, the theory of peace in Donghak thoughts is estimated as the theory of active peaceful view.
