한국어교육에서 ‘-아/어지다’의 단계별 교육 방안

A Study on the Education Plan of -Ah/Eo Ji Da in Korean Language Education

본고는 ‘아/어지다’의 의미 기능을 살펴보고 한국어 교재에 나타난 ‘아/어지다’의 교수-학습 실태와 문제점을 분석한 후 한국어 학습자에게 ‘-아/어지다’를 효과적으로 가르치기 위한 단계별 교육 방안을 탐색해 보는 데 목적이 있다. ‘-아/어지다’는 ‘피동의 의미’를 드러내는 기능이 있다. 또 ‘저절로 일어나는 변화나 움직임’의 의미를 드러내는 기능을 가지고 있으며 ‘피동의 변화’를 드러내는 기능을 가지고 있다. 이 연구에서 분석 대상으로 한 한국어 교재를 살펴본 결과 형용사와 연결되는 ‘-아/ 어지다’와 동사와 연결되는 ‘-아/어지다’를 따로 분리해서 가르치고, 피동의 의미를 갖고 있음에도 피동표현과 분리해서 가르치는 문제점이 나타났다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해 본고에서는 ‘-아/어지다’에 대한 단계별 교육 방안을 제시하였다. 효과 적이면서도 효율적인 ‘-아/어지다’의 교수-학습을 위한 단계별 교육 방안은 다음과 같다. 우선 형용사나 자동사와 연결되는 ‘-아/어지다’를 하나로 묶어 상태 변화의 의미를 먼저 가르쳐야 한다. 이후 타동사나 사동사와 결합해서 피동의 의미를 드러내는 ‘-아/어지다’를 피동표현과 연계해서 가르친다. 그 다음 저절로 일어나는 변화나 움직임의 의미를 드러내는 ‘-아/어지다’의 표현을 가르친다.

The present study aims to investigate the semantic function of ‘-Ah/Eo Ji Da’ and analyze the present status of and issues with teaching/learning ‘-Ah/Eo Ji Da’ in Korean textbooks. It also aims to explore a stepwise educational program to educate on the ‘-Ah/Eo Ji Da’ effectively. ‘-Ah/Eo Ji Da’ functions to bear a passive meaning. It also functions as a meaning of a spontaneous change or movement and also means a passive change. Our analysis of a Korean textbook revealed that it erroneously separates ‘-Ah/Eo Ji Da’ linked to an adjective word from that linked to a verb. It was also shown that the textbook separates the word from a passive expression, even though it has a passive meaning. In order to address these issues, the present study suggested a stepwise educational method about ‘-Ah/Eo Ji Da’. Stepwise educational method for an effective and efficient teaching/learning is as follows; First, we should put together both ‘-Ah/Eo Ji Da’s linked to an adjective and to an intransitive verb and teach the meaning of a status change. And, then, we need to teach ‘-Ah/Eo Ji Da’ that bears a passive meaning in combination with a transitive verb or an active verb, in relation with a passive expression. Lastly, we need to teach ‘-Ah/Eo Ji Da’ expression that means a spontaneous change or a movement.
