개인, 부모, 또래 변인이 대학 신입생이 지각하는 사회적 자본에 미치는 영향

The Effects of the Personal, Parental, and Peer variables on the Perceived Social Capital in College Students

현대 사회의 수많은 무형의 사회적 자원 중 하나가 사회적 자본이며, 이는 사회 구성원 간 관계의 질과 양상이 한 사회의 중요한 자원이라는 것이다. 사회 진출을 준비하는 대학생들이 지각하는 사회적 자본의 형태가 미래 우리 사회의 중요한 자본이될 수 있다. 즉, 대학생들이 어떤 방식으로 사회적 자본을 인식하는가, 또한 사회적 자본 형성에 개인, 부모, 또래 변인이 어떤 영향을 미치는가를 탐구하는 것은 사회적 자본 형성, 사회적 자본의 양과 질을 촉진할 수 있는 중요한 기초 자료가 될 것이다. 본 연구의 목적에 따라 연구 대상의 동질성을 고려하여 한국청소년정책연구원의 2016년 아동·청소년 패널자료를 활용하여 2018년 상반기에 대학 신입생 1836명의 자료를 분석하였다. 상관분석, 중다회귀분석을 통해 대학 신입생들이 지각하는 사회적 자본의 정도, 개인의 심리적 변인인 자아존중감, 자아탄력성이 신입생이 인식하는 사회적 자본에 미치는 영향, 부모 변인이 미치는 영향, 또래관계 변인이 대학 신입생의 사회적 자본에 미치는 영향을 각각 분석하였다. 연구 결과를 보면, 우선 개인변인 에서 개인의 자아존중감과 자아탄력성은 지역사회 인식에 모두 정적 영향을 미쳤고, 자아탄력성만 공동체의식과 다문화 수용도에 영향을 미쳤다. 부모 변인에서는 부모의 감독, 애정, 합리적 설명이 지역사회 인식에 정적 영향을 미치고, 부모 감독, 합리적 설명이 공동체의식에 영향을 미쳤으며, 부모의 과잉기대는 다문화 수용도에 부적 영향을 미쳤다. 또래관계 변인의 경우, 또래 소외는 지역사회 인식에 부적 영향을 미쳤고, 또래 의사소통은 공동체의식, 다문화 수용도에 정적인 영향을 미쳤다. 마지막 으로 이와 관련된 연구 결과를 논의하였다.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the effects of the personal, parental, and peer variables in college freshmen on the perceived social capital. The data of 1336 college students from the Korean Children and Youth Panel Survey(KCYPS) provided by Korean National Youth Policy Institute. The data were analyzed by corelation analysis and multiple regression analysis. The results of the study were as follow. First, the factors which influenced the perception of the local community were the self-esteem and ego-resilience; and the factor which influenced the community sentiment and multicultural acceptance was only the ego-resilience. second, on the parental variables, the factors which influenced the perception of the local community were the monitoring, affection, reasoning; and the monitoring, reasoning were the positive effect factors on the community sentiment, the over-expectation was the negative effect factor on the multicultural acceptance. Third, on the peer variables, the factor which negatively influenced the perception of local community was the peer alienation; peer communication was the positive effect factor on the community sentiment and multicultural acceptance. Lastly, conclusions and limitations of this study were discussed as well.
